Monday’s post was about tensions on the road between bicyclists and motorists. The video below shows what can happen when that tension erupts into violence.
A driver identified as Ricardo Neis, a 47-year-old bank clerk, got caught behind the group of more than 100 cyclists and accelerated his Volkswagen Golf through the center of the pack, injuring about 16 riders.
The driver and his 15-year-old son, who was a passenger, fled the scene and abandoned the car. But the driver was later arrested and charged on Tuesday with attempted homicide.
The video pretty much speaks for itself.
