An update

“The best-laid schemes of mice and men
Go oft astray…”

Robert Burns, “To A Mouse,” 1785

David Herlihy

I wrote in a Tuesday blog post (“A gripping yarn, well told”) that author David Herlihy will make a presentation and sign copies of his book, The Lost Cyclist, on Monday, Aug. 23, at Trinity Bicycles at 207 S. Main St. in Fort Worth.
The date for the presentation and signing has been changed to Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the same venue and same time, 7 p.m.
The change was prompted by the Aug. 14 closure of Legacy Books in Plano, where David originally was scheduled to appear on Aug. 24. The bookstore tried, but failed, to arrange an alternate venue for David’s presentation that evening.
David is being interviewed on the afternoon of Aug. 24 on Krys Boyd’s Think program on Dallas-Fort Worth public radio station KERA/90.1 FM. The public affairs program airs from noon to 2 p.m.
To take advantage of the publicity generated by the radio appearance, David and Bernie Schleffler, proprietor of Trinity Bicycles, decided to move the Fort Worth event to the evening of Aug. 24.
